how to capture a quality black and white photo

1. if there is ever a photo with bland colors or a very plain background changing the filter to a series of black and white options my help to spice it up a bit

2. some patterns can be showcased better using a black and white lens

3. the subject in a silhouette may be more distinct if the setting is changed to black and white

4. there are some photos that are better off in color-- at least in my opinion

as you can see changing the filter to a series of black and white filters can also add more depth and defined lines to images.  these tips may work on some photos, in the end it is all about personal preference. have fun playing around with your own camera roll!!

about me

Hey, this is Morgan.  Three words that describe me would be hardworking, laid back, and fun.  Some things I like to do is work, spend time with family, and be outside.  When it comes to the internet/ social media vs. real life I am the same person.  I think it would be hard to change personalities and other characteristics so I like to keep it the same.  On this blog I plan to post various photos across various themes.  I will characterize them by similar photo elements, locations, color, etc. I hope the content of this blog will catch your eye and inspire you to take your own photos.   I chose this picture because it is a sneak peak of other photos I will showcase on my blog. This particular photo was taken this summer at a rodeo up north.  This captivating image also represents my dream to move (south) west in the next five years! --morgan

Much like the other one in this picture they wanted to really show off the art that has been incorporated into the coffee and by making the background blurry they also make it so the more f...
